Discover Pamela Rooney: The Country Soul of the Maritimes
Born on April 25th in Douglastown, Pamela Rooney is a singer-songwriter whose traditional American country style resonates with authenticity. Coming from a close-knit family where music, hunting, and shared moments have always been central, Pamela inherited her passion from her parents, Bernard and Christina Rooney, musicians in the band "The Exceptions."
It was at just four years old that she won over her first audience, receiving a standing ovation after singing "Sentimental Ol' You" with her mother. This moment cemented her dream of becoming a country singer. At twelve, she learned to play the guitar by watching her parents, a major influence in her musical journey.
Pamela played with several bands before founding her own band in 2012, using her parents' iconic name: "The Exceptions" . In 2005, she released her first CD, including hits like "Good Hearted Woman" and "Tennessee…
